Learn It (“we”, “us”, ABN [insert ABN]) operates the learning application available at this site and at learnit.net.au. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

1. Information we collect

2. How we use your information

3. Children's privacy

Learn It is intended for school-aged students, used with parental involvement. Accounts for students under 18 should be created and managed by a parent or guardian, who consents to this policy on the student's behalf. If you believe a child has provided information without parental consent, contact us and we will delete it.

4. How your information is stored and secured

Our application and data are hosted on Google Firebase. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. No online service can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage (and similar technologies) to keep you signed in and to save progress on your device. You can clear this at any time through your browser settings; doing so may sign you out or reset locally stored progress.

6. Third parties we share with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run Learn It, including Google Firebase (hosting, authentication, database) and Stripe (payments). We do not sell your personal information. [List any analytics or email providers you use, e.g. Google Analytics, here.]

7. Overseas disclosure

Some providers (such as Google and Stripe) may store or process data on servers located outside Australia. By using Learn It you consent to this disclosure, subject to the protections in this policy.

8. Data retention

We keep personal information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time, subject to any records we must keep by law.

9. Your rights

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you. To do so, or to make a privacy complaint, contact us at [insert privacy contact email]. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
